Portland, Maine, April 2009 — It will be three days packed with more than fifty hours of education, twelve tracks, four keynote and exclusive data presentations.

The All Things Organic™ Conference, set for June 16-18 at the Lakeside Center of McCormick Place in Chicago, promises to deliver industry retail, foodservice and ingredients buyers timely information and exclusive research on today’s top industry trends.

Produced by the Organic Trade Association, and the new Health and Wellness Education Program, in partnership with Progressive Grocer Magazine and Nielsen Business Media, will provide buyers with high-level programming and analysis on today’s trends, changing market conditions, success in a tough economy, social networking and industry regulations.

All this will be held in conjunction with the All Things Organic Trade Show, OTA Annual Meeting and Member Days, Expo Comida Latina and All Asia Food Shows during that mid-June timeframe in the Windy City.

Keynotes and Exclusive Data Presentations

Richard Seireeni, author of The Gort Cloud, (Tuesday, June 16, 4 p.m.) introduces the invisible force powering today’s most visible green brands. A 30-year veteran in brand consulting and marketing, Seireeni interviewed more than 30 "eco-capitalists" and discovered that what binds these companies together is ‘The Gort Cloud’ - a term illustrating the vast and largely invisible network of the green community that has the power to make or break green brands.

Phil Lempert, the Supermarket Guru, will host a panel of consumers and retail experts in a discussion around creating and implementing overall in-store wellness programs. The session, “Building Consumer Loyalty through Wellness” (Wednesday, June 17, 9:30 a.m.) will cover all aspects of wellness/fitness related consumer trends and needs, as well as tips on educating retail departments around these issues.

Nielsen Business Media Research Presentation (Thursday, June 18, 8:30 a.m.): Nielsen Business Media experts will discuss key health and wellness trends uncovered in its Homescan and Strategic Planner data research, and ways retailers can build strategies to address these trends.

Organic Trade Association and Kiwi Magazine will unveil the findings of an original research study of 1,200 families across the country in a presentation entitled “Into the Mouths of Babes – Parents Reflections on Organic for Kids” on Thursday, June 18, 9:30 a.m. Learn how parents choose products for their kids, what parents understand about organic, and how organic fits into their value systems, priorities, and efforts to live a more sustainable lifestyle. The session includes a consumer panel with real parents from the Chicago area, who will give candid answers to questions about organic for children.
