St. Louis, Missouri, March 2010 – Solae, LLC, a leader in healthy ingredients for nutritious and good-tasting products, has announced it has joined the American Society for Nutrition (ASN), the premier nutrition science organization.

As a new member to the organization, Solae is proud to partner with ASN in its commitment to enhance scientific knowledge and quality of life through the society's activities in nutrition research, nutrition and health policy, education and training, scientific programs and professional outreach.

ASN and its nearly 4,000 members work to accomplish the following:

* Develop and extend knowledge of nutrition of all species through
fundamental, multidisciplinary and clinical research;
* Facilitate contact among investigators in nutrition, medicine and
related fields of interest;
* Support the dissemination and application of nutrition science to
improve public health and clinical practice worldwide;
* Promote graduate education and training of physicians in nutrition;

* Advocate for nutrition research and its application to development and
implementation of policies and practices related to nutrition.

Solae is now one of nearly 40 companies that make up the Sustaining Members of ASN, including global consumer product leaders such as Kellogg Company, Kraft Foods, Campbell Soup Company and General Mills. ASN's Sustaining Members are vital to the society's continued success as the premier professional organization for nutrition researchers, and they will collectively make important contributions to ASN's scientific agenda.
