Ann Arbor, Michigan, April 2009 – Hilton Soy Foods has developed a product that tastes, smells, and looks just like peanut butter. Better yet it can be substituted to replace both peanuts and peanut butter in most any kind of product.

The crisis of children suffering from mild to severe allergic reactions to peanuts has caused many schools keeping peanut butter products out of their kitchens, which deprives all children of this natural, tasty and wholesome food. Added to this are the food safety concerns and negative perceptions resulting from the recent salmonella scare that came from one of the nation’s largest peanut butter manufacturers.

The folks at Hilton Soy Foods think they have the problem solved, with their innovative peanut-butter-like Omega3 SoyButter.

Four years in development, this product is reported to be safe, healthy and will help keep children (and schools) safe from allergy problems, or worse.

Hilton SoyButter is all natural, with no fillers or anything artificial added – and it really does taste, smell and look like real peanut butter. (We can vouch for that; the samples we received were delicious. Only problem: The samples didn’t last long. Ed.)

The product is made from gently roasted non-GMO soy, which has been grown sustainably and produced in Ontario, Canada by the Mahon family. Scott Mahon, president of the company and one of three brothers working in the firm, said “My family and I are excited and proud to be able to produce a product that fills such a critical need in our industry.”

Hilton Omega3 SoyButter is produced in a stainless steel closed-loop system that assures food safety and quality, preventing all microbiological contamination. In many environments, soybeans have been proven naturally safer than peanuts since they’re grown above ground and harvested dry, versus peanuts grown below ground and harvested moist, making the latter more susceptible to molds and other contaminants.

In addition to the good taste and safety, Hilton Omega3 SoyButter has a nutritional advantage since soy is considered a complete protein compared to peanuts; soy contains a naturally balanced blend of healthy Omega3, 6 and 9 oils.
