Beverly, Massachusetts, October 2010 — Eliza Corporation, the partner more healthcare organizations are turning to for engaging automated outreach– has joined with Roni Zeiger, MD, chief health strategist at Google, to launch a new non-profit, web-based movement called SeduceHealth (www.seducehealth.org). The initiative aims to reframe how the healthcare industry communicates with the people it serves.  www.elizacorporation.com

The SeduceHealth movement operates under Eliza’s recently formed non-profit arm, ElizaLIFE.org. Its debut post features a video of renowned spoken work artist Sekou Andrews performing a rendition of a diabetes compliance message, SeduceHealth style. The blog invites people to join the movement by submitting examples of healthcare messages that could be delivered in more inspiring ways, and includes short clips of many well-known healthcare thought leaders recording their refreshing and unique versions of SeduceHealth’s tagline, “Talk health to me, baby.”

“Sadly, folks aren’t sitting around waiting for the health care industry to lecture them into better behavior, and in fact, most people are busy having lives that are filled with their own stresses and opportunities,” says Alexandra Drane, co-founder of SeduceHealth and president and co-founder of Eliza Corporation. “The goal of SeduceHealth is to harness the incredible creativity and passion in all of us who are working so hard to effect change, and to use that creativity and passion to bring joy and inspiration back into the conversation we are having with the public about their health -- essentially to beguile them into making sustainable changes that feel good.”

It is hoped that this program provides an opportunity to reframe the way people speak to each other about their wellbeing – moving away from the impersonal and academic nature of most communications toward an authentic and personal connection that inspires, even seduces, people to want better health.
